SAN MATEO, CA – San Mateo Deputy Mayor Diane Papan issued the following statement after her campaign for State Assembly received the endorsement of the San Mateo Daily Journal:
“I am honored by the endorsement of the San Mateo Daily Journal and their recognition that I am a fighter and incredibly skilled at balancing ever-competing needs to find resolutions that work for all of us. I do my research, and I care about the services my office provides. With only four weeks until Election Day, our campaign of experienced leadership that delivers results is well positioned to win.”
ABOUT DIANE: Diane Papan grew up in San Mateo County and is a long-time civic leader, currently serving as San Mateo City Councilmember. A graduate of UCLA, Papan received her law degree from Hastings Law School. She is also a Director of John’s Closet, a Peninsula nonprofit that has provided new clothes, scholarships, and essential items to over 15,000 school age children and young adults. Diane and her husband Dan are proud parents of daughter Alexa.
